About Us

In 1978 Walter and Audrey Griese began a mail-order sewing business out of their home. As the business grew, they decided to open up a physical shop and moved to a brick-and-mortar store located in the Champlin Service Center, in Champlin, Minnesota.

Since that time, A-1 Sew Craft has moved four times, though never much more than a block or two from its original location. Currently we are located at 12454 Champlin Drive, building a loyal customer base in Champlin, Anoka, Maple Grove, and the surounding Twin Cities area.

A-1 Sew Craft is an authorized Janome and Elna sales and service center. We offer fun clubs and classes for every skill level, that build sewing proficiency and teach new techniques in an enjoyable and sociable environment.

Throughout their rich history, A-1 Sew Craft has created the reputation of providing first class customer service. We offer free classes with every new machine purchased through us as well as providing high quality in-house repair and service for most makes and models of sewing, embroidery and overlock machines. No wonder we’re known as The World’s Most Accommodating Dealer!
